What’s New in 2026

As we look ahead into 2026, one thing is clear: healthcare organizations are being asked to do more with less, while still maintaining accuracy, compliance, and financial performance in an increasingly complex reimbursement environment.

At Softek, our goal has been to build software that helps Oracle Health clients identify revenue risk early to prevent downstream issues. In 2026, we’re taking a major step forward in that mission.

The Newly Engineered Softek Rules Engine

For a few years now, the Softek Rules Engine has been embedded within our Panther platform behind the scenes to identify missing charges, incorrect HCPCS/CPT codes, and coding or compliance risks in real time. It has delivered measurable outcomes by catching issues early, improving clean claim rates, and reducing late charges.

In 2026, we’re evolving that capability: the Softek Rules Engine is moving to the web.

Added Benefits of Moving to the Web

The transition to a web-based application takes the Rules Engine from a powerful background control, into an active, user-driven workflow tool designed to meet today’s operational goals surrounding charge reconciliation.

With the web-based Rules Engine, rule failures are no longer passive findings. Instead, they become actionable work items that can be assigned, tracked, and resolved daily. Revenue integrity, coding, and operational teams will be able to log in each day to a prioritized work queue that highlights exactly where attention is needed.

This shift supports a more proactive, accountable charge integrity process that fits naturally into daily workflows.

The core strength of the Rules Engine remains unchanged. With more than 2,000 pre-built and continuously maintained charge edits, developed in partnership with CPI experts, the Rules Engine continues to run in real time against charging data to identify:

    • Missing charges
    • Incorrect HCPCS/CPT codes
    • Coding and compliance issues
    • Workflow breakdowns that lead to late or lost revenue

Crucially, these checks occur pre-bill, while patients are still in-house—allowing organizations to correct issues before claims are generated, rather than reacting after denials or underpayments occur.

Looking Ahead

The web-based Softek Rules Engine is just one example of how we’re investing in smarter, more scalable tools for Oracle Health clients in 2026 and beyond. Our focus remains on helping organizations not just identify trends, but pinpoint root cause, act early, and build durable processes that last.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and we look forward to partnering with our clients as this next chapter unfolds.
