ontrack mobile

Powerful functionality anytime, anywhere

You don’t have to be at your workstation – or even at work – to investigate and resolve many system issues. Key functionality of OnTrack Panther’s 64–bit platform for monitoring and managing Cerner Millennium® can now be accessed from your Apple or Android smartphones and tablets.

Our secure mobile applications let you:

  • Cycle your Millennium servers anytime, anywhere.
  • Resend messages that couldn’t be delivered and are sitting in your Exception Queue.
  • See active performance problems detected by Panther sensors.

You can even build your own system applications with the Panther API (application programming interface) that’s built into Panther64 and used to deliver our first set of mobile apps.

Access data over secure connection

You don’t need to worry about data breaches when using OnTrack Panther’s mobile apps. Multiple levels of security ensure the protection of sensitive patient and organization information.

  • Apps are accessed over a secure Internet protocol.
  • Users must first contact Softek to enable the web service and establish the necessary network connection.
  • Users need to enter a valid Millennium login.
  • Users need appropriate management privileges set up for them in OnTrack Panther.
  • All connections to the API are auditable.

Currently available mobile apps

Cycler

Cycling your Millennium servers is often a critical step in resolving system issues and preventing compromises in patient care. The Cycler app lists all the Cycle Groups for which you have management privileges. From this list you can easily choose any group to cycle. With a single touch, you can also view the details and cycle history of each group.

reQueuer

When Millennium encounters a problem delivering a message, it sends the message to the Exception Queue. The reQueuer app enables you to resend these critical messages – and prevent unnecessary interruptions in patient care. The app lists all the messages in the Exception Queue. From this list you can easily look at the details of individual messages or filter messages by node or destination queue. With a single touch and confirmation, messages can be resent (or deleted if no longer necessary) individually or as a group.

Events

You can’t fix problems in your hospital’s Millennium system until you know what they are. OnTrack Panther sensors continually monitor your EMR system and create an event whenever they detect an abnormality. The Events app lists all the events currently open in all your active sensor groups, which might include Chart Server, IBM WebSphere MQ, Millennium, Open Engine, Operations, Oracle and Remote Report Distribution. From this list you can easily look at events open for an entire group or for individual sensors and decide what action your team needs to take.
